We have recently had our ground floor rear extension built by Ash Build. Salim made a few visits prior to the works commencing to troubleshoot any potential issues and ensure there was a clear plan. Therefore the built went very smoothly and even completed earlier than had been estimated.

The communication throughout was excellent, I always knew what was going on at each stage, there were no surprises and all our specifications were met. They were all very friendly, polite, professional and make a great team. They always cleaned up after themselves and kept disruptions to our daily living to a minimum while the build was in progress, which was important to us with 2 young children.
We are extremely pleased with the finished result and all kept within our budget.

I was so impressed with Ash House Investment Limited. They had been recommended to us by some family members and having now used them twice, we find that their work is completed to a very high spec but the cost of the project doesn’t necessarily reflect this. This time they completely re-modelled the ground floor of our house, creating a 6×6 metre single-storey extension at the rear of the property, while changing the style and layout throughout. We found the quote provided by Ash House particularly reasonable compared with their competition, and are so pleased with the finished product.

The thing that struck me most throughout our engagement was the effective communication skills displayed. Given their expertise, they clearly have an idea of what will work best, but listened to our views/plans and were able to clearly articulate the pros and cons along with expected rise/drop of cost depending on the particular issue. I was always really pleased that they proactively sought project discussions with us at regular intervals to discuss progress, expected timeframes, any issues etc (we were not living at the property for the whole time the work was being completed). The last point on communication is probably the most important from my perspective: if there were any issues with our plans/proposed approach, they were keen to speak to us first to understand our preference before moving ahead.
I really appreciated their honesty throughout the project and they gave me a clear impression that they are knowledgeable in their relevant areas of expertise. Similarly, if they needed to get a contractor in for something that wasn’t their expertise (for example in our case, bifold doors), they project manage the whole experience so we didn’t have to interact with the third party. However, knowing that their communication skills were on point meant that we were incredibly relaxed with this situation and we have got the finished product that we expected.
Finally, and arguably most importantly, it’s a family run business and all the family engage and make you feel comfortable having them working on your home. They’re a great bunch of lads, do a really good job for a comparatively modest price and I will certainly be using them again/recommending them to all my family and friends.

From the first meeting that launched the planning of a new kitchen and new kitchen flat roof Salim and his team made the whole process smooth and stress free due to their experience and professionalism. They were able to give us good advice about the best suppliers and materials but always wanted to make our ideas and design a reality. With this confidence we were able to go holiday knowing that Ashbuild would be able to complete our kitchen refit to the highest quality, and are completely trustworthy. On our return we were delighted with the standard of finish and they wanted to make sure every small detail was right. The effort that had gone into the hidden work such as the electrics and plumbing was as great as the effort put into the tiling, floor vinyl, cabinets and painting. They even hoovered the grass to remove wood chips at the end of the project!

Salim and his boys were wonderful during the renovation of our flat. They were confronted with a near-impossible job – replacing an external staircase which led up to our first floor property within the constraints of the latest regulations. They liaised with architects and suppliers to allow us a choice of designs and materials and ended up having to shift an entire French window and Juliet balcony several inches, and to redo our original plumbing so that it remained accessible. They did all this with relentless efficiency and good humour. Our flat was in a fairly bad way before Salim arrived on the scene, and now looks better than we could possibly have hoped, beautiful and modern. We’re so grateful to him and his sons for the work they did, and especially for being so mindful of our requests in the process.
